Endings, Beginnings and The Great In Between

I'm very sad to say that after 3 years in this huge house I will be downsizing to a much smaller place. I'm happy to say that I will be saving tons of money! I will no longer have to worry about the upkeep of this huge yard and I get a chance to decorate my new place in a fresh new look.  I hate moving though....hate packing everything up, hate having to get use to a new place but at the same time it's also exciting. I will be much closer to Connors school, 2 blocks to be exact WOW. It's just scary ya know? It's still the same neighborhood though so I guess that's a good thing.

I will be packing my scrap stuff up tonight :-( I will be packing my kitchen up, I will be packing, packing, packing!  I will also be without internet probably for at least a week...maybe two YIKES I'm going to go into withdrawal not being able to read blogs and watch everyones youtube videos!! Moving next weekend though so hopefully I won't be without for too long.

The last time I moved I was getting a divorce...lol! I'm nervous, trying to decide if I'm making the right decision....I hate when my decisions affect other people. Hopefully it will all be for the best though.

Wish me luck.

She's Alive! (And peeks at my trade minis!)

A week and a half long vacation interrupted by flu, bronchitis, flu ridden child and other mayem! 4 days left of my vacation and I am finally beginning to feel somewhat normal except I have the serious shakes possibly from the medications I'm sure. My breathing is still labored but my chest no longer hurts every time I inhale!

I wanted to quickly post a few pics of my October trade minis that I made for DSC and TWS. Not going to say which is going to who because darn it I want it to be a surprise but they are pretty similar....I really hope the recepients like what I made. I did forget to add fibers so had to run back and add that and I left the charms off  but am sending those along so they can add them :-)  These were supposed to go postal last Friday but my good old flu buddy had other plans! They will be postal tomorrow!!!!

Trick or Flu?

I have so much to post about and so many photos to post including one of the most amazing minis that I received from my TWS partner Debbi! But I'm sorry I don't have the energy to sit here and post anything more then this. I have been sick since Wednesday, flu that developed into acute bronchitis and connor came home from school yesterday sick, we both spent our halloween in doctors offices he has the flu :-(  Lindsay has barricaded herself to far far away land ...her room.... she wants no part of us or the illness.
I promise I will post pics as soon as I'm feeling better. I hope everyone out there has a wonderful weekend.

CCC $10 Swap and Randomness!

Hello Hello! Exactly 2 weeks before I start my vacation yayyyyyy!! I am so excited to actually have 12 days off from work!! I really am completely burnt out mentally and I am soooooo very tired all the time, I'm looking forward to doing nothing but scrapping while the kiddos are in school and whatever they want to do afterwards, I think I may actually even take a nap or two, in fact I am going to add that to my vacation agenda!

I have 2 halloween minis that I started working on so I am up to my eyeballs in halloween stuff I didn't work on them at all today but I'm off Friday and Sunday so guess what I'll doing on those days? YEP working on those minis! I was wondering if I could use that spider web stuff that you decorate around the house with on on one of the minis....what do yall think? I'm worried that it will end up getting stuck and gross over time.

Speaking of scrapping though look at what I have picked up during my little shopping trips the past few days!

Ok so that's not really all that I bought.....I picked up a couple of paper pads by K&Co and DCWV (they were $5!) These are all the $1 findings that I picked up for the $10 swap at Craft Craving Chicas. The purpose of the swap is to pick out 10 $1 items for your swap partner and as you can see in the pic I ended up with much more then 10 items! I'm going to choose the most unique items and send those off to my partner and the rest just may end up in a blog candy soon! Who knows.

Off to dreamland now. Yall have a great night!

DSC September Kit Mini Finished (Mostly!)

I'm so excited to be mostly finished with my album! Hang in there with me because this is only my 2nd mini that I have made so I'm still learning from all of you....yes I am a blog/youtube stalker (but in a good way)! One thing I noticed after looking at the photos of my album is that I only inked the edges of one page so all my other pages have grey chipboard edges... I'm going to go back and take care of that! I also have tons of stuff left from the kit! I mean tons...I even have 2 chipboard pages left so I am most likely going to go back and add those pages later.
Lindsay loves this mini so it will be hers, she can go add whatever journaling she wants about her and Connor. I cannot express how very close they are...their relationship is amazing to me and really makes me wish that I had not been an only child. My oldest Travis is close to Connor and Lindsay too but it's not the same, it's almost as of Connor and Lindsay are connected at the very core of their being....their souls are connected.
Anyway here's my mini, I had a lot of fun making it. Thanks for taking a peek!

3 Day Weekend = Party Time For Mommy! Day Two.......

Day 2! Ok so today is my MIL's birthday and guess who forgot to send her a card?!?!?! So what do you think I did? I sat down with Connor and helped him make his grammy a card and then posted it on her Facebook for the whole world to see.....well at least her entire friend and family list!

Look at my little snaggle tooth baby.....I love this kiddo soooooooo much! (WOW he needs a hair cut!)

My oldest son brought home about 15 pounds of fresh Georgia shrimp a couple of days ago, I of course made him cut the heads off before I would touch them, then we froze those bad boys to cook today and tomorrow and the day after and the day after and so on ......we will be eating shrimp all week! (I should have taken pics of those things before he cut the heads off!) We fried a few for lunch today and yummm yumm they are so good! Shrimp Scampi is on the menu for tonight and tomorrow we will be making Shrimp Creole, maybe shrimp fajitas Wednesday? I don't think any of us will be wanting shrimp for a long long time after this week!

I am almost finished with my mini from the DSC Sept. kit...yayyyyy! I will be posting pics of the complete album tonight or tomorrow. Right now I am going to watch a scary movie with my daughter. Where's the popcorn?

3 Day Weekend = Party Time For Mommy! Day One.......

OMG I sooooo love having a 3 day weekend! Well.....really 3 days together period really gets my happiness flowing!

Today is Day One - I do nothing. I slept in until 8am! I spent the morning reading blogs and watching videos, read a bit of the new Dan Brown book, picked out a few black goodies to go into a mini album I will be making for a swap, took my kiddos out to lunch, opened up my new October scrap kit from DSC (GORGEOUS!), and best of all......Connor intructed me on how to make fake vomit out of clay!! (HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY I LOVE HAVING A BOY!)

It is now 6pm and I am ready to settle down and scrap for a couple of hours and then I will be re-watching Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with dreamy Matthew McConaughey (FLUTTER GOES MY HEART WINGS).

DSC September Kit Mini (A Few Pages)

Ok so I joined this very cool mini kit club DSC and once a month they send out a new mini album kit loaded with beautiful papers and goodies, Septembers kit was 7 Gypsy's Gypsy Market Papers and among the goodies was a Tim Holtz Love ticket that instantly made me think of the relationship between my daughter and youngest son (10 years apart) so from that one little love ticket I decide to make a mini documenting their relationship.
Wouldn't you know that my printer would decide to kick the bucket on me as I went to print out pictures of them to use for this album so I won't have pics in it until this weekend.....grrrrrr! It's a little hard for me making an album without knowing the dimensions of the photos I'll be using in it!
I am very ADD when it comes to working on projects like this, I'll sit down for half an hour and work in it, then get up and do something else for an hour or so and then go back to it so needless to say I only have 3 pages done!!! I wanted to share though so I'm going to go ahead and post those here and then I'll post the rest of my mini this weekend.

Love this cover! I only wish I had some Glimmer Mist so I could have sprayed the flowers :-( I'm going to add a label that says "What Is....." to  go along with the Love ticket.

I am going to journal a bit about their relationship on the journal tag on this page. The embossed image on the pocket says Memories.

A photo of them will go on the tag here.

I am hoping to finish the rest of this album tonight so wish me luck!

Envelope Minis, Slider Cards and Flowers

So I've spent the past week working on a few things here and there. My daughter has a friend who just had a baby and she wanted to make her a little book so we sat down and got to work, I got the idea for the envelope mini from Stephanie -(Steffogal1) who got the idea from Marion. It was a lot of fun to make and I have a feeling I will be using these little envelopes a lot!

I also played around with some flowers that I saw over on Velmas Blog .Velma takes white flowers, inks them and then embosses with Utee. I don't have any white flowers and not a lot of inks either so I just took some color flowers and embossed them with ala modes sparkling emboss powder. I like the way they turned out and the one white flower I had turned out this gorgeous shade of pearl!

I was over at The Scrap Beach today and saw this video that Phoenix made of a mini she made and she had this slider card in it and she provided the link to the tutorial she used so of course I had to try it! The hardest thing about making it was cutting the plastic bag! It kept clinging to my fingers LOL! I will be using this idea a lot in the future, I love it! (You pull the flower on the top and the top and bottom slides out, so cool!)

I am learning so much from all of the blogs I visit, I just don't have enough time in the day to try everything I want to try! There are so many creative people out there!

My Baby & My Baby Daddy AKA Movie Stars!

The 48-Hour Film Project hit Savannah last month! Local film crews sign up to participate and they are given 3 elements that must be used in the film, this year it was a cell phone, the line "She said she would be right back" and a name/character, I think it was Michael or Michelle Murray, they then draw genres of film and are given 48 hours to make a 7 minute long film using those 3 elements and genre. This film was done by Perpombellar Productions and they drew the genre mockumentary. Connor's dad knew a lot of people involved in the film and him and Connor got to be extras, his dad was a vampire and Connor was a civilian. They had a lot of fun and Connor now knows that things in movies are fake! The blood is just corn syrup.  This film won Best Acting, Best Writing, Best Directing and Best Movie and will now be going to the National contest in Vegas!
If you don't like vampire movies please don't watch the clip!

I Love Flowers & Bright Colors!

Looky looky at what my friend Candice made me! I love the dimension on her flowers and this one is going to sit on top of my scrap desk! It's very industrial with that heavy wire rim and thick thread.

Very First Blog Award!

Wow my very first blog award! Thank you so much to Arlene of www.butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/. Arlene is co-owner of a brand spankin new mini kit club that I just joined....love the fact that I get to be a part of something just starting out! Bona of www.keeponscrappin.blogspot.com/ is the other half of the club and if you want more info about it you can check out their kit site here www.deuxshabbychic.blogspot.com/.
Anyhoo Arlene tagged me with this most awesome blog award and part of it is to tell 5 things about myself so here goes. Some quick random facts about me.

1. I love mexican food! Cheese Dip, Salsa and Cheese Enchiladas make my tummy happy! I am a salsa snob and I have been to every mexican, latino restaurant in Savannah! There is this awesome place in HB Cali that I went to called Marios that I will never  forget....it was the bomb diggity! (Meaning Super Yummy!!)

2. I love to write. I write just for the sake of writing, I love to type, I love to text but I really dislike talking on the phone.

3.  I really dislike Pizza. Blah!

4. I am super cranky if I don't have at least 1 hour of quiet alone time each day.

5. I adore my children, they are my everything, they are the greatest love of my life. (Yes they are holding a watergun to my head and forcing me to type that!)

6. Just for the heck of it! I love Pumpkin Spice and Eggnog Lattes from Starbucks and it's almost that time of year again!! I'm so excited!

Now I would like to pass this award on to 5 bloggers and hopefully they will share 5 things about themselves. (If they ever read this hehehe)

Photoshop Fun!

Love love love playing around in photoshop and psp and making tags, backgrounds and other stuff for my daughter to use on her myspace. (And of course digi scrap pages too!)
